Buying a Home
For most people buying a home, whether the first or one of a long line of houses is one of the biggest financial decisions they will take. Gresham does not offer mortgage advice, but can refer you to an independent mortgage adviser.
We can also help you plan your budget and advise on the other implications of borrowing significant sums of money. For example,
- If you or your partner were to die, how would the survivor afford the mortgage payments?
- What if you suffer a long term illness and are unable to work, how would you afford the mortgage?
- What if you had a heart attack or stroke that stopped you working for some time and maybe reduced what sort of work you could do, how would you afford the mortgage?
Remember, your home is at risk if you fail to maintain mortgage or other repayments.
